NEW SOAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooooo excited that I get to list this soap. An etsy team I am on, Safeteam, had a challenge for our team. You pick a country, and make a soap around said country. Of course with me being born and raised in Scotland for 31 years, I had to take my homeland. I wanted to make the St. Andrews Flag, our nations pride, and turn it into a soap. I hand crafted the whole thing. This was a two step process so that I could have it perfect. If you fly the flag of your country, you are showing your pride of said country, this is why I have called this soap "Scottish Pride". I also had to include the beautiful scent of Heather since it covers all of our hills and glens back home. I am sooooooooooo proud of this soap, just as much as I am proud of my country. This soap is between 5.5 oz - 6 oz per bar. Also it is made with all of my usual lovelies so that it feels good too.

Just like Scotland this soap is full of mystery and is very magical. During the day this soap is a beautiful royal blue and white just like the flag, in the evening light, it is purple and white. I say that in the evening, our national flower shines through, THE THISTLE.

I just know everyone is going to love and adore this soap either for themselves, or as a beautiful gift. I love this soap.

I am creating today

I am creating today, which feels good. I have been so busy lately, I have been neglecting this blog. We have the high school musical this coming weekend, and my oldest son is in it. This is the dress rehearsal week, so I am a tad busy with that.
I am getting so excited about our Etsy Team Challenge soap that is coming up, my soap is all ready, and I can not wait to get it listed. Today I am making some wonderful soy tarts in yummy scents, as soon as they are made, I will get them list in time for spring. I am also planning to create another spring soap, just trying to decide which scent, and which way I want to create it. I have quite a few products that I must take pictures of so that I can list them in my etsy. These are products that have never been listed before and I think it is time. Time for everyone to get the pleasure from these products, and not just my local customers.
It is really challenging for me to not list my challenge soap. I am itching to show off a sneak peek.
I am off to be creative and will update later today on what I decided to make.

Monday was a hectic day

Not a lot of new items from our store today. We had our annual Dinner Concert at the High School tonight. We were all too busy for anything else. Now tomorrow it will be all hands on deck.
I have many ideas for spring and summer items. Mother's day is not too far away for a soaper, so wonderful gifts ideas are swirling around in my head.
I can't wait until I get back in the kitchen and get productive again.
Watching my kids in concert band tonight was delightful.
That is it for today here at Thistle Delight Soapworks.

Sunday 1st March 2009

Happy Sunday to everyone, and hoping everyone has had a lovely weekend.
Well today is a little calmer here than it has been all week and yesterday.
Yesterday was a very stressful morning, but by 2pm all was well for my son's 18th birthday party, and that is all that counts. I managed to find the time to deliver some homemade laundry soap to a friend, so that is good now that she is using a much better and cheaper laundry soap. Today I have yet to take a picture of my new hazelnut latte soap, and I need to make another batch of sensuous amber soap, since it is all gone. Time to load up on another batch of cotton blossom soapies too, will get that made on Tuesday, as Monday is a very busy day here. Monday is the annual dinner concert at high school that us music boosters runs. Will be a very busy day and evening for me yet again, but will be a delight to see my daughter and son playing in their concert bands. We will eat wonderful food, and enjoy wonderful music.
For tonight I plan to relax and chill out before the madness tomorrow.
