New Sugar Scrub!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited about this wonderful sugar scrub. It is very rich and luscious with Shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, and avocado oil in it. This scrub has been scented with wonderful pink grapefruit, it not only looks good enough to eat, it also smells good enough to eat. This is a mouth watering, skin loving scrub. Your body will drink in it's goodness, and your skin will be so soft and hydrated beyond belief. This scrub will be up in my store on etsy very soon. Watch out for it, as I know it will fly off the shelves. Other scents are being created as you read.

Tuesday musings

Well I woke up this morning to find out my backyard trees had been TP'd lol. I think it is funny and probably a high school prank since I have a senior in the house.

I have been checking the blockhead radio challenge, and so far my followers have been helping me out well. This comp runs until Monday morning, so if you have voted for my scottish pride soap yet, I would appreciate it if you would. Just go here http://blockheadradiolive.com/cbb
and vote for my Scottish Soap.

Today I will be packaging a bunch more Soap Petals that I made on Sunday. I now have quite a few colors and scents completed. These are always a crowd pleaser around Mother's Day, and Christmas, or for weddings. They are time consuming, but so worth it.

Motherly Love!!!!!!!!!!

I have started my fan favorite Mother's Day gifts.
These beautiful petals are done in many colors and scents. These have always been a huge seller, and lots of wonderful feed back. These are one time use hand soaps that can be used for just then in a guest bathroom etc, or used as potpourri since the scent is fabulous. They come in glass jars with a cute poem on how to use them. The poem reads "Pick a petal from my dish

close your eyes and make a wish, wash your hands and toss away, may your dreams come true today". I have also done these for weddings in the wedding colors. The options are endless and always bring a smile to the receiver's face.

I am in a challenge

I am so excited about being entered in this challenge. It would give my store some great exposure. I would appreciate any and all votes to make this happen for me.

If I am convod that you voted for me, I will draw a name out and send you a winning soap.

This soap is very special to me, and would love to share it with others.

Please go vote for me.

NEW SOAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooooo excited that I get to list this soap. An etsy team I am on, Safeteam, had a challenge for our team. You pick a country, and make a soap around said country. Of course with me being born and raised in Scotland for 31 years, I had to take my homeland. I wanted to make the St. Andrews Flag, our nations pride, and turn it into a soap. I hand crafted the whole thing. This was a two step process so that I could have it perfect. If you fly the flag of your country, you are showing your pride of said country, this is why I have called this soap "Scottish Pride". I also had to include the beautiful scent of Heather since it covers all of our hills and glens back home. I am sooooooooooo proud of this soap, just as much as I am proud of my country. This soap is between 5.5 oz - 6 oz per bar. Also it is made with all of my usual lovelies so that it feels good too.

Just like Scotland this soap is full of mystery and is very magical. During the day this soap is a beautiful royal blue and white just like the flag, in the evening light, it is purple and white. I say that in the evening, our national flower shines through, THE THISTLE.

I just know everyone is going to love and adore this soap either for themselves, or as a beautiful gift. I love this soap.

I am creating today

I am creating today, which feels good. I have been so busy lately, I have been neglecting this blog. We have the high school musical this coming weekend, and my oldest son is in it. This is the dress rehearsal week, so I am a tad busy with that.
I am getting so excited about our Etsy Team Challenge soap that is coming up, my soap is all ready, and I can not wait to get it listed. Today I am making some wonderful soy tarts in yummy scents, as soon as they are made, I will get them list in time for spring. I am also planning to create another spring soap, just trying to decide which scent, and which way I want to create it. I have quite a few products that I must take pictures of so that I can list them in my etsy. These are products that have never been listed before and I think it is time. Time for everyone to get the pleasure from these products, and not just my local customers.
It is really challenging for me to not list my challenge soap. I am itching to show off a sneak peek.
I am off to be creative and will update later today on what I decided to make.

Monday was a hectic day

Not a lot of new items from our store today. We had our annual Dinner Concert at the High School tonight. We were all too busy for anything else. Now tomorrow it will be all hands on deck.
I have many ideas for spring and summer items. Mother's day is not too far away for a soaper, so wonderful gifts ideas are swirling around in my head.
I can't wait until I get back in the kitchen and get productive again.
Watching my kids in concert band tonight was delightful.
That is it for today here at Thistle Delight Soapworks.

Sunday 1st March 2009

Happy Sunday to everyone, and hoping everyone has had a lovely weekend.
Well today is a little calmer here than it has been all week and yesterday.
Yesterday was a very stressful morning, but by 2pm all was well for my son's 18th birthday party, and that is all that counts. I managed to find the time to deliver some homemade laundry soap to a friend, so that is good now that she is using a much better and cheaper laundry soap. Today I have yet to take a picture of my new hazelnut latte soap, and I need to make another batch of sensuous amber soap, since it is all gone. Time to load up on another batch of cotton blossom soapies too, will get that made on Tuesday, as Monday is a very busy day here. Monday is the annual dinner concert at high school that us music boosters runs. Will be a very busy day and evening for me yet again, but will be a delight to see my daughter and son playing in their concert bands. We will eat wonderful food, and enjoy wonderful music.
For tonight I plan to relax and chill out before the madness tomorrow.

Friday musings

Today is Friday 27th February 2009, and my oldest is now officially an adult {:o(
I have no idea were all 18 years have gone. I got the cupcakes decorated this morning, and all delivered to his band room in time. All 96 cupcakes were done in time but lost some of my sanity in the process hee hee.
Now I am quickly grabbing a quick bite of lunch before running again to try to finialize the dinner concert. I will be really happy when the concert is all over Monday night, and all people were fed.
I have a batch of laundry soap to finish for a friend, then finish getting my house ready for my son's birthday party tomorrow.
Tonight I will be finishing the laundry soap, making a batch of Sensuous Amber soap, and making hazelnut latte candles.
I will take pictures of my new hazelnut latte soaps this afternoon, and post here and my flickr.
Hopefully I get time to list them on my etsy store too.
More musings from today still to come later.

Thursday night thoughts

Well here it is, my first post on my blog. Tonight I have been working on setting up my blog. I have been making 96 cupcakes for a surprise for my oldest tomorrow. He turns 18 on the 27th and I have 96 cupcakes hiding from him, and they will go to his band lesson at high school.
That was exciting to get them all made and hiden before he came home from musical rehearsal.
Tomorrow I have to frost them and deliver by 11.30am. I plan on taking pictures of my new soapies tomorrow, and get them uploaded to my etsy store. This scent is so popular with all of the coffee drinkers out there, it really does smell soooooooooooo good. Hazelnut latte will be available from tomorrow yippee. I have it in candles too, I have 3 12oz candles in this scent to make tomorrow too for an order here locally.
What would my customers like to see on my blog?
I do plan on loading pictures of products available now as well as all future projects I decide to make.
Well that will do for right now, and will make time to share thoughts etc tomorrow again.
